I started quilting over thirty years ago and have created many quilts for family and friends – many inspired by the fabrics of artist Kaffe Fassett. Over ten years ago, I began making floorcloths using paint and stencils. Soon after, I discovered the process of using fabric with floorcloths instead of paint and have been refining that process over time. I found I was able to combine my love of quilting into functional pieces of work for the floor or table. Initially I made my fabric floorcloths for my home and then for friends. With the encouragement of my friends and family, I started showing my work locally and have been involved in markets, shows and custom work. The availability of vivid and colorful fabrics have been a source of inspiration for my work. My fabric floorcloths and placemats are durable coverings for use on hard floors and table tops, to add protection, interest and beauty to a home.
Custom orders accepted.
I love my placemats. I have 4 now which I have bought twice at Emerson. I had a big compliment on them the other day and would like to give some to the friend who is in the process of moving to a new home. Is it possible to see what you have at the moment, in person? I don’t know if you have a craft fair venu coming up where I can to find you, at this moment. Pls. Let me know. Thx.

HI Nancy-Jo
Nice to hear from you- I do have about 20 placemats right now- and am making more. You are more than welcome to see what I have in case something works, or I could make a custom one if you knew what she might like- you could pick some fabrics.. I work out of my house in Concord — and could show you on the porch what I have, or if you are OK- and we are both masked, you could come in.? Let me know what’s best. Thanks
